William ("Will") Faust Nicholson was born in Aurora, Ill. in 1900. He graduated from Dartmouth (1922) before moving to Colorado Springs, Colo. in 1924. In the 1930's, Nicholson sold stocks and bonds for Boettcher and Company, Denver, Colo., sold real estate and was part owner of the Denver Bears baseball team. After WWII, he was an unsuccessful candidate for the U.S. Senate (1948), but was elected to the Colorado State Senate (1950, 1954). Nicholson was subsequently elected for one term as Mayor...
